Full Cost Recovery: The Strategy and Mechanics

This workshop is available as an In-person English workshop and Online English workshop (just launched!)

Humentum is excited to announce the launch of live online Full Cost Recovery: The Strategy and Mechanics. This online workshop runs over three days using a combination of live webinars, videos, and discussions. You are required to log-in at set times with a schedule for live webinars, each lasting approximately 90 minutes. Workshops are currently available in the following time zones: East Africa and US East Coast.

This highly participatory workshop helps individuals and organizations effectively manage their programs and maintain donor compliance with a USAID focus. We help you evaluate your methods for calculating indirect costs and determine if you’re maximizing your rates of cost recovery. Additionally, you will be able to go back to your organization with understanding the basics of the US Government’s Negotiated Indirect Cost Rate Agreement (NICRA).

Our expert facilitators will cover the strategies and tactics for strengthening your NGO’s indirect cost recovery approach in a dynamic and evolving funding environment.

What will you learn?

By the end of this workshop, learners will be able to:

  • Evaluate cost allocation structures and methods based on your NGO’s funding mix
  • Apply alternative approaches to structuring overhead accounts and allocation methods
  • Manage the different ways funders regulate overhead payments
  • Develop best practices to budget for various donors
  • Navigate the basics of the US Government’s Negotiated Indirect Cost Rate Agreement (NICRA)
  • Navigate the funder landscape using a decision-making model for testing whether systems change is worth it.

Who should attend?

This workshop is designed for:

  • All levels of staff working on the challenge of full cost recovery, from novice to expert.
