Now more than ever it is important for organizations to diversify their funding sources. India is the first country in the world to make CSR contributions mandatory, following an amendment to the Companies Act, 2013 in April 2014. Qualifying businesses must invest 2% of their profits in designated areas such as poverty, gender equality, environment, and hunger as part of their CSR compliance. While this development has been welcomed among the development community, there are a number of market access hurdles for international NGOs when it comes to implementing projects in India. Please join our Industry Partner experts at Sannam S4 and Humentum Member, JSI, for a crash course on the CSR opportunities in India and how your organization can position itself to qualify for this funding. The one hour session will provide an overview of funding sources in India as well as some of the practical challenges and potential solutions for accessing funding in India.
