Listening to Your Needs
More than 450 InsideNGO members responded to our Member Survey earlier this year, providing insights on how we can serve you better – thank you! Many of you shared your thoughts on how we can continue to refine our communications outreach, better meeting the needs of our vibrant and strong member community. Based on your feedback, we are launching this new monthly newsletter, The Insider, designed to share InsideNGO’s news and highlights over the course of the year. So welcome to our debut issue! In the coming months, The Insider will focus on sector issues, new learning opportunities, and specific resources for members.
Shaping our Direction
Member insight, generosity, and support have shaped InsideNGO throughout its history. We are excited to be launching our next strategic planning cycle focused on how InsideNGO can further support you in a time of change, helping our sector be more adaptable, resilient, and successful. We will be identifying and testing new ideas and opportunities in the months ahead as we develop our recommendations for our Board of Directors in October 2016. If you would like to participate in this process, please reach out to either Alison Smith at asmith@InsideNGO.org or Tom Dente at tdente@InsideNGO.org.
Investing for Impact
As NGOs look for new ways to innovate and make their programs sustainable, new attention is being focused on ways to channel traditional investment capital into the nonprofit environment. InsideNGO is pleased to invite our members to join us for a special event we are hosting with Venable LLP on the topic of impact investing and nonprofits. The program will also include case studies presented by InsideNGO members Accion International and The Nature Conservancy, highlighting their own experiences with impact investing.
