What do 15 InsideNGO members have in common?

What do 15 InsideNGO members have in common?

By Bonnie Ricci

The generosity of Humentum members and their contributions to their peers in the membership community are evident in many ways throughout the year. This is a cornerstone that enables Humentum to help members connect, collaborate, share, and learn.

It goes without saying that membership dues are an essential source of financial support for Humentum to maintain its regular year-round programs. A special group of 15 members has deepened their generosity through financial support each year above their dues category to become an Humentum Sustaining Member. Sustaining Member support provides us with those extra resources to pilot and add new offerings and benefits without increasing basic dues across the board for everyone.

Why Become a Sustaining Member?

Simply put, the contributions of Sustaining Members increase Humentum’s ability to offer beneficial services that help us support evolving needs, address new concerns, and expand operational area groups. It provides a way for you to demonstrate your organization’s leadership in the membership community, and is another visible way for you to acknowledge the importance of operational excellence in the NGO sector as a whole.

What Does Your Sustaining Member Contribution Support?

Your Sustaining Membership helps everyone in the Humentum community benefit. It bolsters our ability to bring all of our members:

  • No cost webinars and timely, virtual events: conducting webinars on OMB Grant Reform and monitoring and evaluation; connecting quickly with peers on the earthquake in Nepal or the Ebola crisis; identifying helpful HR metrics to benchmark your organization; bringing you the popular Connect the Information Dots webinar series that introduces members to new technologies and processes; these are just a few of the special activities we have been able to arrange, sometimes on short notice, based on member interest.
  • Advocacy initiatives: representing member voices in changing times around regulations from OMB or USAID; engaging proactively in the dialogue on full cost recovery; these are just two examples of special efforts that have a positive effect on members and the NGO sector.
  • Special convenings: holding cross-functional roundtables in diverse geographic regions around the US, such as Atlanta, Seattle, and New York; adding programs for young professionals/emerging leaders; building senior leader forums for COOs, CFOs, and CHROs, to discuss topics such as The Changing Role of the COO; the INGO of the Future; The Future of INGO Operations.
  • Piloting new products, services, and partnerships: meeting the changing needs of the community by being nimble and responsive to needs and opportunities – for example, partnerships with Cornerstone OnDemand Foundation, Telecom4Good, and a range of Humentum Industry Partners that leverage additional resources.

In exchange for this support, Humentum recognizes the leadership of our Sustaining Members throughout the year. At this membership level, your organization receives special recognition on Humentum’s website, an acknowledgement in the Annual Conference Program, on conference signage, call outs in other materials, and Humentum’s gratitude for contributing to the community at this extra level.

Here’s Your Opportunity
