Who are we?
We're a global organization formed by the merger of InsideNGO, LINGOs and Mango in July 2017. We're individuals working towards social good ourselves, and we've been in your shoes: managing compliance and risk, juggling finances, designing programs and helping people perform at their best. Together we’ll help our sector dream big - and achieve critical wins to get things done. Let’s become part of the human momentum needed to create a just and sustainable world.
We have offices in Washington, DC, and Oxford, UK, as well as regional hubs in Africa and Latin America, with experts based in a range of countries around the world.
Humentum as one, as opposed to three separate organizations, allows me to speak with my inside stakeholders in a different way. It also gives me visibility into where their landscapes are changing, which I never had before.

Our organizational members—330 strong— and our clients represent the dynamic mix of all those leading development work today: non-governmental organizations (NGOs), for-profit companies with an expertise in international development, sector experts with deep roots in global issues, nonprofit policy organizations, and academic institutions advancing sustainable development.
Our engaged community includes individuals at all levels within these organizations—one organizational membership opens the door to all employees’ participation.
We also partner with more than 50 industry service providers who are recommended by our members and deeply committed to the NGO community.
What We Do
Build Community. Learning, sharing, collaborating, and connecting are the pillars of our organization. Our strength is in our members and our clients, and we bring them together regularly for peer-to-peer exchanges. We convene more than 50 events annually for senior leaders, such as our quarterly CEO, CFO, and COO Forums. Our topical roundtables, free to members throughout the year, are popular events where functional experts discuss problems, solutions, and best practices.
Enable Learning. Thousands of professionals take advantage every year of our 300+ national and international workshops, e-Learning offerings, and webinars to build their capacity in the areas of compliance; finance, grants, and contracts; human resources; and program/project management. Our annual conference, a members-only event, provides two-and-a half days of learning, networking, and community building. Our regional conferencecs throughout the year offer focused learning and networking opportunities worldwide.
Provide Expertise: We have a deep expertise across four core competencies that we believe are essential for every organization: compliance, financial management, program development, and people development. Our consultants can provide custom solutions for organizations needs in these areas. Annual surveys on HQ and expat compensation are acclaimed industry benchmarking tools. Our members-only online community, Humentum Connect, supports the exchange of issues, ideas, and solutions globally.
Engage in Advocacy: We advocate on behalf of our members, representing their views and priorities to key funders—especially the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), the Department of State, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). We also work with other partners and coalitions to support the full funding of traditional indirect investments in the key operational capabilities that sustain long-term results.
