Our Regional Reps
In addition to our offices in Washington, DC and Oxford, UK, Humentum has regional representatives in East Africa, Southern and West Africa, and Latin America.
Sam has been based in Uganda since 2001 and has held many roles within Humentum in that time. She is currently director of the IFR4NPO Project [link to page]. Having previously held the Regional Director East Africa role, she continues to foster networking and collaboration among NPOs in Uganda. Southern and West Africa
Regional Director Sareta Thomas, based in Pretoria, South Africa, is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with Humentum’s key stakeholders in the Southern and West Africa regions. She also delivers learning and consultancy services, advising NGO finance teams on best practice in financial management and providing training for project staff. Sareta’s goal is to ensure that any social sector organization or development practitioner in the region can conveniently access Humentum’s services—including learning opportunities, membership services, and consulting advice. Regional Director Juan Manuel Palacios, based in Guatemala, is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with Humentum's key stakeholders, expanding our membership, and delivering learning and consultancy services in the Latin America region, as well as the Spanish- and Portuguese-speaking regions in Africa. One of his main goals is to bring Humentum´s services to any organization or person within the development sector in these regions, to help them do their jobs better and ultimately, better deliver on their organization’s mission.
