Q + A

What is your favorite place you’ve been to, and where do you want to go next?

The best place I have been to is a small fishing village near M’bour, south of Dakar in Senegal: The beach behind the small white huts with people washing their horses in the sea gleaming yellow and red under the first rays of sunlight, with the splashing of children playing and swimming around. A beautiful place and magical moment. Next I would love to go to Asia, probably Vietnam or Thailand, and do a road trip along the coast.

Describe your ideal weekend

My favourite weekend would be a long weekend with a day to sort out the mess of the week, a day to party with friends and family (by party I mean sharing good food, probably a barbecue, even in the rain, and some cake of course), and a day to rest, with a lie-in in the morning and a nap in the afternoon!
